Unfortenately there are not much recordings of the amazing accordionplayer Nino Portelli. We pay tribute to this French accordionist, as he performed songs always sound pathetic. By the way, for fans of the accordion it is a very pleasant surprise for all of us pursuant to a close and beloved melody of "Black Night" (Dark Night) Track 11. The song Dark night (Tiomnaja noch) (Тёмная ночь) was written for the film Two Soldiers,
or Two Fighters (Dva boïtsa). The film was shot in 1942, under the conditions of the evacuation. The film is about the friendship between two soldiers from Odessa (played and sung by Mark Bernes) have become popular songs invariably associated with the Great Patriotic War and the courageous resistance of the peoples forming the then Soviet Union.
